matt slaby's polaroid story made my sunday

just read a story accompanied by a polaroid that mr. slaby sent out on apad. i felt like i was in the middle of a novel. i could have read that for days. this guy meets an incredible kaleidescope of characters. and the first person experience he shares is like something out of steinbeck or kerouac. someone on the list once said reading his words was like listening to a tom waits song. totally like that.

adam's mom had an old little camera sitting on the bookshelf at home. adam got it down off the high shelf. it was a brownie target camera. late 40s, early 50s. we inspected it, and it looks like it's in working order. good stuff.
