oh the kiddie pools this summer has seen

summer went by way too fast. i can't believe it's already august. before i know it we're going to be in mexico for the workshop. working with those kids is going to be awesome.

adam's backyard. pleasanton. epic BBQ night.

i think adam thought i was crazy, but we were in hysterics about how strange of a place plesanton is. i was on adam's front porch on the phone with ariel when the stepford wives' reincarnations walked by with a barefoot kid and a dog. all blonde. i don't have any pictures. i was so freaked out walking around town and couldn't stop my nervous laughing. felt like a foreign place. made me love sf that much more.

it was like all the faces there came from the same pallet. does that make sense? seemed almost unnatural. it was like walking around in a christopher morris picture.

it's hard to explain. i guess you always feel a little strange when you go back to where you grew up and it's not really your home anymore. maybe it's more of that feeling that made me nervous.
