4th of July

i'd love to borrow some william eggleston books. anybody have something they could part with for a few days?

also, this show is incredible. i love ira glass. actually, i think i have a little crush on ira glass. there is something very cozy about his voice that is completely captivating. incredible voice to guide you through a story. the phrase moving pictures was totally realized with how this is shot. the images are soft, beautiful, telling and move you. i wish i could do video like that. it's also very humorous. watch this show.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th. We all headed up to Brian's place at the Russian River. Nothing better then sitting on the river when it's 100 degrees out and drinking beers for an entire day. The beach was packed, yet the 6 of us managed to be the loudest ones there. Too much fun.

A brand new 5D.

I still cannot contain my glee. I played with it all day. After class tonight we all went out for Thai food. Then Jeff, Alex, Paul, Scooter and I went down to the Metreon to see Transformers. It was sold out. So we went to Sutro Baths. And then to the Legion of Honor. And then to a playground--with the most dangerous jungle gyms ever--in the Sunset.

It always feels good to see old friends

Adam and I spent the entire weekend together catching up and hanging out and basically being summer bums tooling around the Bay. Adam ended the epic weekend by falling on the front porch and busting his front tooth in half. Giovanni and Teddy came by just in time to witness the hysterically painful event.

This weekend feels like summer

I spent the weekend hanging out with my longtime childhood friend Adam. We've known each other since 3rd grade. Adam's dad passed away recently and I hadn't hung out with him since. The last time we had seen each other was when we went to the Giants game and I was a Holga virgin. I really enjoyed seeing Adam. It was difficult talking to him about his Dad. But he was really comfortable talking about it and that made me more comfortable with asking him about it.

Anyways, had a ton of fun with Adam coming out to the city. We hung out at the house for a while, WII'ed it up, then went out to Joxer Daly's in West Portal. After a few phone calls and texts we recruited the rest of the house to come meet us. And in true Dorado fashion, we ended the night balancing on the indo board and blaring music.









Adam and I headed out to Antioch yesterday to go watch his brother race dwarf cars. I had so much fun. And the photos were endless. The whole scene was actually a little visually overwhelming. I don't think the hangover was helping though.
